What This Role Involves

As part-time Bar & Waiting Staff at Greene King, you'll be the welcoming face of our Darlington pub, serving our guests with care and attention. You'll work in our bar and dining areas, combining efficient service with genuine friendliness to create memorable experiences. Whether you're new to hospitality or bringing previous experience, you'll find yourself in a lively, supportive environment where your contribution directly impacts our guests' enjoyment and our team's success.

Your Responsibilities

• Serve drinks and food to customers at the bar and tables with accuracy and courtesy
• Take orders clearly and communicate them to the kitchen in a timely manner
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process payments securely
• Clear and reset tables promptly, maintaining cleanliness throughout the venue
• Stock the bar and dining areas with glassware, crockery, cutlery, and other essentials
• Assist with food preparation tasks, stock rotation, and reporting inventory needs
• Follow all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
• Respond professionally to customer requests, complaints, or feedback
• Support the wider team during peak service times and special events
