Backend Developer – Go

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization seeking an experienced Backend Developer – Go to join their team on a fully remote basis within the United States. This is a direct-hire, full-time W2 position offering excellent opportunities for professional growth and impact.

Our client builds cloud-native solutions and enterprise applications, and they need a strong Go developer to design and build high-performance backend services and APIs that operate at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using Go
• Build cloud-native applications, Kubernetes controllers, and automation tools
• Develop gRPC and REST APIs and integrate with databases and messaging systems
• Optimize application performance, concurrency, and resource utilization
• Implement testing, monitoring, logging, and CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with engineering teams and maintain technical documentation

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with Go as a primary language
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, gRPC/REST APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka or NATS, Docker, and CI/CD tooling
• Proven debugging and performance tuning skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred:

• Experience with Kubernetes Operators, eBPF, service mesh technologies, or security-focused Go projects
• Open-source contributions or experience with WASM/TinyGo
