Android Developer – AI Finance Agent

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking an experienced Android Developer to build native mobile experiences for an AI-powered finance platform. Our client is creating next-generation financial products used by real customers across multiple markets.

This is a remote role based in Germany. Strong English communication is required, as our client operates with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship native Android features including onboarding, accounts, payments, transfers, and AI-assisted user journeys
• Transform complex financial workflows into simple, fast, and reliable mobile experiences
• Collaborate closely with product, design, backend, and AI engineering teams to deliver features from concept through production
• Own application quality across performance metrics, crash rates, loading states, edge cases, and release stability
• Utilize production feedback, analytics, and customer behavior data to continuously improve shipped features
• Integrate APIs, authentication systems, and secure data handling with strong focus on reliability

What We're Looking For

• Strong native Android development experience using Kotlin
• Proven track record shipping Android applications to real users
• Deep understanding of Android architecture, Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern Android development practices
• Strong product sense with genuine care for user experience beyond simply completing tickets
• Ability to debug production issues and drive improvements in performance, reliability, and overall app quality
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and moving quickly while maintaining high standards
• Demonstrated career highlights showing personal contribution to building, shipping, or scaling serious products or systems
• Must be currently based in Germany

This role is not suitable for: Engineers seeking fully defined tickets, developers who build screens without considering user experience, those who deprioritize crashes or performance issues, engineers who prefer slower-paced environments, or candidates who cannot articulate their actual contributions to previous projects.
