Bosch Group
Join Bosch Group as a full-time Algorithm Software (ASW) Developer for Braking Systems in Bangalore. In this engineering position, you'll develop advanced algorithms that power hybrid electric and autonomous vehicle braking systems, where your work directly influences safety and performance in next-generation mobility.
What This Role Involves
As an Algorithm SW Developer for Braking Systems at Bosch Group, you'll create and refine control algorithms that enable sophisticated braking behaviour across hybrid, electric, and fully autonomous driving modes. Your algorithms will manage energy recovery in electric vehicles, coordinate multi-system braking responses, and ensure fail-safe operation in safety-critical scenarios—work that shapes how future vehicles decelerate, recover energy, and respond to emergency situations.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise control algorithms for hybrid and electric braking systems, balancing efficiency, energy recovery, and stopping performance
- Design real-time algorithms for autonomous vehicle braking functions, including failsafe mechanisms and dynamic response to sensor inputs
- Validate algorithms using simulation environments, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and vehicle-level integration
- Collaborate with systems engineers, embedded software teams, and hardware specialists to translate requirements into production-ready implementations
- Analyse test results and performance data, iterating algorithms to meet safety standards and customer specifications
- Maintain technical documentation and adhere to code quality and architectural standards throughout development cycles
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent discipline
- Proficiency in C/C++ and demonstrable experience with embedded systems and real-time applications
- Solid grasp of vehicle dynamics, braking system fundamentals, and control theory principles
- Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink or comparable model-based design and simulation tools
- Working knowledge of automotive functional safety standards and practices (ISO 26262)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Fluent English communication and ability to work effectively across distributed teams
Why Join Bosch Group
Bosch Group is reshaping global mobility through breakthrough innovations in electrification and autonomous systems. As an Algorithm Developer for Braking Systems in Bangalore, you'll work on technologies that define vehicle safety and sustainability at scale. You'll have access to world-class engineering tools, collaborate with leading technical minds across geographies, and contribute directly to reducing road accidents and emissions in the transportation sector.
