We are representing a confidential research and advisory organization seeking an AI Vendor Market Expert (Senior Director, Analyst) to join their fully remote team in the United States. Our client serves enterprise leaders worldwide with insights that shape technology and business strategy. This role focuses on creating influential research and guidance for CIOs and AI Leaders navigating the rapidly evolving AI vendor landscape.

As a senior analyst, you will produce research that helps organizations select, implement, and optimize AI solutions across the full technology stack. You will analyze market trends, evaluate vendors, and provide strategic recommendations that address complex challenges in AI adoption and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Create thought-provoking research content on AI solution categories including market evolution, infrastructure and compute, models and providers, development platforms, AI data infrastructure, application frameworks, agentic automation, governance, security, operations, and vendor contracting
• Develop innovative research ideas and actionable approaches to address client needs in AI strategy and implementation
• Analyze client challenges to identify root causes and reframe strategic thinking around AI adoption
• Research and predict market vendor trends, producing vendor evaluations, capability assessments, and strategic roadmaps
• Guide organizations through digitalization and AI journeys by providing expertise on readiness, strategy, use case prioritization, business case development, architecture design, and vendor selection
• Collaborate with team managers and research leads to align stakeholders and drive high-impact outcomes
• Provide expert advice to clients via virtual and in-person interactions
• Create and deliver high-value presentations for industry events and client briefings
• Peer-review research content to ensure quality and timeliness
• Mentor and coach junior team members
• Participate in innovation discussions and identify opportunities to improve research processes

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience in AI, technology research, or related domains
• Hands-on experience selecting, implementing, and maintaining multi-vendor AI solutions
• Ability to break down business problems and use cases into distinct functional capabilities and map them against AI solution categories
• Thorough understanding of the AI stack including applications, middleware frameworks and agents, platforms, infrastructure, and data layers
• Consumer Goods or Insurance (Property and Casualty) experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated executive presence with ability to establish credibility with C-level executives and stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills with ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables
• Excellence in research and writing ability
• Strong analytical, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills with ability to engage clients effectively
• Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data, applying frameworks, and drawing defendable conclusions
• Subject matter expertise with comfort presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements
• Strong business and financial acumen
• Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within AI technology markets
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multicultural global teams
• Learning agility and comfort navigating highly matrixed environments
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%
