AI Innovation Engineer – IT Security (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization in Munich that is scaling its next-generation security awareness platform. Our client is seeking an AI Innovation Engineer to drive product innovation at the intersection of IT security, artificial intelligence, and human risk management.

This is a strategic, high-visibility role where you will identify, validate, and deploy innovations that shape the future of the product. You will build rapid prototypes, run structured experiments with enterprise customers, and translate emerging threats and market opportunities into concrete solutions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the cybersecurity market, competitor landscape, and customer feedback to identify high-impact innovations worth pursuing
• Validate ideas through rapid prototyping and structured experimentation, delivering actionable insights on feasibility, cost, and strategic value
• Build working prototypes independently when validation requires hands-on technical proof
• Lead innovation projects directly with enterprise customers, serving as a trusted technical partner
• Translate customer needs and emerging security threats into testable product concepts
• Work closely with the innovation team to prioritize and position new capabilities
• Deliver rigorous, well-founded recommendations on which innovations to scale and how to position them in market

What We're Looking For

• Background in IT security with solid understanding of the modern threat landscape, especially social engineering, AI-driven attacks, and deepfakes
• Ability to build prototypes independently and quickly (rapid prototyping, vibe-coding) to validate concepts
• Rigorous, in-depth approach: you go beyond surface-level proof and deliver substantive insights
• Confident communicator who can present to and influence enterprise customers
• Comfortable owning innovation projects end-to-end
• AI-native: you integrate AI tools into your daily workflow to maximize speed and productivity
• Fluent English required; German is a strong plus
• Bonus: background in research or innovation roles, demonstrable quality of work through academic track record or reference projects
