Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (Part-time)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital healthcare organization seeking an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician for a part-time position in Winnersh. Our client operates a modern, technology-enabled dispensing pharmacy where you can focus entirely on accuracy, quality, and patient safety—without the demands of traditional retail pharmacy.

This is not a retail counter role. There are no walk-in patients, no OTC sales, and no constant interruptions. You'll work in a state-of-the-art facility with onsite free parking, focusing on what matters most: ensuring every medicine dispensed meets the highest standards of safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform accuracy checks on dispensed medicines, ensuring full compliance with legal, operational, and safety standards
• Take ownership of the end-to-end dispensing process, not just individual tasks
• Maintain clear, accurate prescription records and escalate discrepancies promptly
• Actively mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a culture of accountability, safety, and quality
• Stay current on professional development, best practice, and regulatory changes
• Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure timely, accurate patient care

What We're Looking For

• Level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services (ACT) or equivalent ACT qualification
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC (required)
• Proven experience in a pharmacy setting with a strong track record in accuracy checking
• Deep working knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies, and SOPs
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to getting it right the first time
• Direct communication style with strong accountability and initiative
• Genuine passion for patient outcomes and safety
