Account Manager – Chromatography consumables Food/Environmental

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential life sciences organization seeking an Account Manager to cover the Netherlands and Flanders region. Our client is a global technology leader in analytical chemistry solutions, specializing in chromatography consumables for food and environmental testing applications.

This remote position requires maintaining and expanding relationships with key accounts across your assigned territory, providing technical expertise and advanced customer support. You will work closely with research and quality control teams who depend on chromatography solutions for their critical testing needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a specific territory of key accounts in the Netherlands and Flanders
• Conduct customer visits to provide technical information, product demonstrations, and technical seminars
• Build relationships beyond purchasing contacts to engage key decision makers
• Meet territory sales, gross profit, and unit objectives
• Develop business plans and sales strategies for major accounts in collaboration with sales leadership
• Represent the company at local vendor shows and industry trade shows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide mentoring support to colleagues

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science field required
• Strong knowledge of chromatography principles and applications
• Advanced sales skills including negotiation, business opportunity identification, and strategic planning
• Excellent communication abilities in both Dutch and English
• Proven capability to analyze complex situations, facilitate dialogue, and influence stakeholders
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 60% within the territory
• Hands-on laboratory experience with HPLC chromatography (preferred)
• Successful track record in sales or customer service roles (preferred)
• Experience with CRM software (preferred)
• Background in the food or environmental testing market (preferred)
