Join Waypoint as a 3rd Shift Full Time Shelter Staff member in Manchester, Hillsborough County, and provide critical overnight support to young people experiencing housing insecurity. Working the graveyard shift from 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM, you'll create a safe, stabilizing presence during the hours when vulnerable youth need it most.
About the Role
This is a full-time overnight shelter position providing care and supervision at an emergency facility for young people in crisis. You'll work 40 hours per week on the night shift with weekend availability required, earning $21.00 per hour plus overnight shift differential.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and supervise shelter residents throughout the night, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Provide calm, reassuring presence during overnight hours when emotional crises often intensify
- Build trust with youth through consistent, encouraging interactions and active listening
- Document overnight activities and resident interactions per shelter protocols
- Maintain clear communication with day-shift staff through detailed shift handoffs
- Keep the shelter secure and properly maintained during night hours
