About the Role

We are seeking a Team Lead for our Accounting department in Bochum. As a key member of the thinkGROUP team, you will lead and guide the accounting team to ensure proper financial management and compliance with legal requirements. Your role includes overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB standards, managing debtor and creditor accounts, and ensuring smooth cash flow operations.

• Provide fachliche und disziplinarische Führung des Buchhaltungs-Teams
• Sicherstellung einer ordnungsgemäßen und termingerechten Buchführung
• Verantwortung für Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüsse nach HGB
• Steuerung von Debitoren-, Kreditorenbuchhaltung und Zahlungsverkehr
• Weiterentwicklung und Standardisierung von Prozessen und Abläufen
• Betriebswirtschaftliche Auswertungen, Budgetplanung und Forecasts unterstützen
• Zusammenarbeit mit Wirtschaftsprüfern, Steuerberatern und internen Fachbereichen
• Aktive Mitgestaltung bei der Digitalisierung und Automatisierung der Finanzprozesse

What You'll Do

Your responsibilities will include leading the accounting team to ensure compliance with legal requirements, managing financial statements, and overseeing cash flow operations. You will also be responsible for process improvement and standardization, budget planning, and forecasting. Collaboration with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal departments is essential.

What You Bring

To succeed in this role, you should have a completed accounting education with further training, such as being a Certified Accountant (CA). At least 10 years of experience in the field are required. A proven track record in process optimization and digitalization is beneficial.
