About This Position
We're seeking an organized, customer-focused cashier to manage transactions and create a welcoming checkout experience at our Cedar Hill location. In this full-time position, you'll work as part of a dedicated retail team, handling payments, verifying customer identification, and maintaining store policies while delivering the friendly service our customers expect from Totalwine.
Core Duties
- Process customer payments accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle cash, card, and electronic transactions
- Verify customer age and ensure compliance with all regulations governing the sale of alcoholic beverages
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and stock shelves as needed
- Assist customers with product information and checkout inquiries
- Count and balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
- Scan merchandise accurately and process refunds, exchanges, and returns
- Uphold store policies while providing courteous, attentive service to every customer
