Okgov is seeking a Business Technology Manager to join our team in Oklahoma City at 6001 N Classen Blvd. In this full-time role, you'll take ownership of technology initiatives that strengthen our operational capabilities and support our mission to serve Oklahoma.
Role Overview
As Business Technology Manager, you'll be instrumental in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You'll lead strategic technology initiatives, oversee system implementations, and ensure our technology infrastructure supports organizational growth and effectiveness. Your work will directly impact how efficiently we deliver services and achieve our operational goals.
Core Duties
- Lead the planning, procurement, and deployment of business technology solutions aligned with organizational strategy
- Assess technology requirements across departments and recommend systems and tools that enhance productivity
- Oversee technology projects from concept through implementation and ongoing optimization
- Collaborate with business leaders and IT teams to identify needs, troubleshoot issues, and drive adoption
- Establish and enforce technology standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements
- Manage technology budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and reliability; implement improvements as needed
- Develop and deliver training on new systems and best practices to staff
What We're Looking For
- Significant professional experience in technology management, IT operations, systems administration, or related field
- Solid knowledge of business technology systems, enterprise software, and IT infrastructure
- Demonstrated project management experience with successful delivery of technology initiatives
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to executives and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience managing technology budgets and evaluating return on investment
- Familiarity with data security, privacy regulations, and IT compliance standards
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
