Position Summary

As an Assistant Vice President and Team Lead in Trust Support Services at OCBC, you will oversee the daily operations of a support team whilst maintaining the highest standards of client service and regulatory compliance. This role combines hands-on leadership with direct responsibility for driving operational excellence across our trust services division in Singapore.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of trust support professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Oversee the delivery of client support services for trust and wealth management products, ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Manage operational workflows, streamline processes, and implement best practices to enhance team efficiency
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks, and OCBC's governance standards
  • Handle complex client enquiries and escalations, providing resolution and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Monitor team performance metrics, conduct regular reviews, and provide constructive feedback to drive engagement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including compliance, operations, and product teams to support business objectives
  • Contribute to the development of training programmes and procedural documentation for the team

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in banking and financial services
  • Proven track record of successful team leadership and people management in a financial services or banking environment
  • Strong knowledge of trust products, wealth management services, or related financial services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated expertise in operations management, compliance, and regulatory adherence
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking/financial systems; familiarity with CRM platforms is advantageous
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
