Position Summary

The Assistant Manager II role at Dollartree offers an exciting opportunity to advance your retail management career in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. As Assistant Manager II in our CA-Riverside store, you'll partner with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a team of dedicated associates, and ensure our store delivers exceptional value and service to every customer throughout the Riverside community.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor store associates, providing coaching, training, and constructive performance feedback
• Manage staff scheduling, time and attendance tracking, and labor efficiency
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, maintaining operational compliance and security protocols
• Drive sales performance by promoting company-wide initiatives and engaging customers effectively
• Maintain store cleanliness, merchandise presentation, and visual merchandising standards
• Monitor inventory levels, support stock management, and implement loss prevention best practices
• Address customer concerns and complaints with professionalism and a solution-oriented approach
• Collaborate with the Store Manager on strategic planning and store initiatives

Qualifications

• Proven retail management experience, ideally in a supervisory or assistant management capacity
• Strong leadership abilities and demonstrated capacity to motivate and develop team members
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong problem-solving aptitude
• High school diploma or GED required
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Customer service orientation and genuine commitment to service excellence
• Familiarity with retail point-of-sale systems and inventory management tools
