Assistant Manager II

Join Dollartree as an Assistant Manager II at our TX-Royse City location. We're seeking a dedicated operations and sales leader to help drive store performance and build a high-performing team in this full-time management position.

About This Position

As an Assistant Manager II at Dollartree, you'll play a key role in day-to-day store operations while supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales and customer satisfaction goals. This is an in-store, hands-on leadership position where you'll balance strategic initiatives with operational excellence, leading by example on the sales floor and in the back office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise store associates, including scheduling, training, and performance coaching
• Oversee merchandising, product placement, and inventory management across the store
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed store targets
• Ensure store compliance with Dollartree policies, safety standards, and loss prevention procedures
• Assist with customer service concerns and model excellent customer-facing interactions
• Support the Store Manager in hiring, onboarding, and developing team talent
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual standards throughout the facility
• Handle cash management, till reconciliation, and banking procedures

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven retail or supervisory management experience
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach diverse teams
• Solid understanding of P&L, inventory control, and store operations
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Customer service orientation and sales mindset
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift throughout shifts
• Proficiency with retail POS systems and point-of-sale technology
