The Opportunity
This project-based contract engagement connects compliance professionals with discrete evaluation assignments for major technology companies. Rather than traditional permanent employment, you'll work on specific compliance testing initiatives, typically requiring 10–20 hours weekly during active project phases. Your Responsibilities
- Appraise rule-matching scenarios by examining compliance documents (communications, disclosures, governance materials) and identifying the precise regulatory provisions applicable or breached
- Build suspicious-activity alert resolution frameworks with structured false-positive justifications and detailed escalation pathways
- Design compliance verification exercises covering selection methodologies, testing frameworks, outcome documentation, and findings summaries for regulatory reviewers
- Create policy coverage scenarios addressing gaps where organisational policies omit regulatory requirements, conflict with legislation, or haven't evolved with recent regulatory shifts
- Annotate all work with exact regulatory subsection citations—precision and verification form the foundation of every deliverable
Qualifications
- Tertiary degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or allied fields
- Minimum 2+ years working in compliance, audit, legal, risk management, or financial services contexts
- Current or recent hands-on experience in compliance, regulatory positions, financial crime roles, or related specialisations
- Citation mastery—the ability to locate and reference the exact regulatory subsection and openly note interpretative gaps rather than assume or extrapolate
