Project Coordinator, Data Creators

Figure, an AI robotics company developing autonomous humanoid robots with human-level intelligence, is hiring a full-time Project Coordinator, Data Creators in North San Jose, CA. In this hands-on role, you'll coordinate end-to-end data collection projects that form the foundation of our AI systems.

Compensation: This full-time position offers a US base salary range of $35–$40 per hour, with variation based on your experience and qualifications.

Role Overview

As a Project Coordinator for Data Creators at Figure, you'll take ownership of data collection initiatives from planning through successful delivery. Working with the Data Operations team in San Jose, you'll translate engineering requirements into actionable capture strategies, keep projects moving toward their timeline and quality targets, and resolve the technical and logistical challenges that arise. Collaboration is central to the role: you'll partner with Helix engineers who depend on your data, work alongside Data Quality specialists to maintain standards, and help shape how data is captured across our facilities. This position requires full-time in-office presence in North San Jose.

What You'll Do

• Lead data collection projects from conception through delivery, tracking progress and ensuring schedules stay intact.
• Translate technical data requirements from engineers into clear, executable capture procedures your team can follow.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure, hardware, and facility obstacles that could delay project completion.
• Collaborate with Data Quality partners to surface and fix issues during data creation, not after.
• Document and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) based on lessons learned and team feedback.
• Contribute to task design and setup processes for your assigned data collection types.
• Manage and mentor direct reports where applicable, including conducting performance reviews and career development discussions.

Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in operations, data collection, production coordination, or related fields, with demonstrated success leading a project or workstream independently.
• Proven ability to schedule and execute projects while managing dependencies across teams, equipment, and facilities.
• Experience documenting and maintaining SOPs that other team members rely on daily.
• Comfort communicating with engineers: able to understand technical requirements and convert them into operational guidance.
• Excellent communication and organization skills; capacity to serve as the central point of contact for complex projects.
• Background managing or strong readiness to manage direct reports and mentor team members.

Preferred Experience: Background in robotics, autonomous systems, or motion capture applications; hands-on familiarity with motion capture or wearable sensor hardware; experience scaling operations in high-growth startups.
