Accounts Payable Specialist

Prime System Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. This full-time role offers the opportunity to manage critical payment operations and ensure the smooth flow of financial transactions across our organisation.

About This Position

The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a vital role in Prime System Solutions' financial operations, managing vendor payments, invoice processing, and day-to-day payables functions. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations. This position requires attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy. Based in Lahore, this full-time position reports to the Finance Manager and offers opportunities to develop your expertise in accounting systems and vendor management.

Your Responsibilities

• Process incoming invoices and verify accuracy of pricing, quantities, and payment terms
• Manage vendor accounts and maintain current contact information and payment histories
• Prepare and process cheque payments and electronic fund transfers to suppliers on schedule
• Reconcile accounts payable statements and identify discrepancies or outstanding items
• Record payment transactions accurately in the accounting system
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status and payment schedules
• Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reconciliations
• Maintain organised filing systems for invoices and supporting documentation
• Support the preparation of financial reports and analyses as requested

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounts payable, accounting, or a related finance role
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of invoicing, payment processing, and vendor management
• Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
• Professional written and spoken English
• Relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or business administration (preferred)
