The Opportunity
As an RPAS Programme Manager at Prevail, you will take ownership of end-to-end programme delivery, ensuring all remotely piloted aerial systems projects meet operational, regulatory, and performance objectives. You'll work across complex, multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate activities, manage timelines, allocate resources effectively, and deliver measurable results that support the organisation's strategic growth. This contract position offers the opportunity to embed established governance frameworks, enhance operational resilience, and champion best-in-class practices throughout the RPAS function.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive RPAS programme strategies aligned with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements
- Lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships to ensure successful project delivery and outcomes
- Oversee compliance with Civil Aviation Authority regulations, airspace permissions, and operational safety protocols
- Establish key performance indicators, monitor programme health, and produce regular status reports and insights
- Manage budgets, procurement, and resource allocation across operational and capital expenditure
- Coordinate pilot training, certification, and continuing professional development programmes
- Drive process improvements and document operational procedures to maximise efficiency and standardisation
- Liaise with external partners, including regulators, clients, and supply-chain providers
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in RPAS operations, drone technology, or related unmanned systems programme management
- Strong knowledge of UK Civil Aviation Authority regulations and airspace requirements
- Demonstrated capability in stakeholder management, team leadership, and cross-functional coordination
- Excellent project management skills with experience balancing multiple workstreams
- Professional communication and report-writing abilities
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in programme or project management are desirable
