Security & Risk Advisor

Prevail is hiring a Security & Risk Advisor for our Kyiv office. This full-time position offers a strategic opportunity to lead security and risk management initiatives within our growing organization.

Role Overview

As Security & Risk Advisor at Prevail in Kyiv, you'll design and oversee security controls, risk assessment programs, and compliance frameworks that protect our operations. You'll serve as a subject-matter expert who shapes how we identify, evaluate, and respond to threats across the business. Working directly with leadership, you'll translate complex security challenges into actionable strategies that enable secure growth.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses across systems and processes
• Develop, update, and enforce security policies aligned with industry standards and regulations
• Monitor the threat landscape and brief leadership on emerging risks and recommended countermeasures
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate security and risk management into business decisions
• Perform internal compliance reviews and ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements
• Investigate security incidents and recommend process improvements to prevent recurrence
• Create and deliver security awareness training to support organizational risk culture

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in security, risk management, or enterprise compliance roles
• Strong knowledge of information security frameworks and threat assessment methodologies
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards relevant to your industry
• Excellent communication skills—able to explain security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to balance security with operational effectiveness
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are valued
