Head of Finance

Prevail is recruiting a Head of Finance to lead our financial strategy and operations in London, England, United Kingdom. You'll drive financial performance, build a high-performing team, and shape key business decisions as a valued member of our senior leadership.

The Opportunity

This is a significant leadership position for a seasoned finance professional ready to take full ownership of our financial function. You'll oversee all aspects of accounting, reporting, and financial planning whilst directing strategy that supports sustainable growth. Based at our London headquarters, you'll work full time in a hands-on, strategic role where your expertise directly influences company direction and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance team, establishing best practice in accounting and financial management
• Create and manage financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts that align with business goals
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and statements for stakeholders, the board, and regulatory bodies
• Oversee financial controls, internal audit processes, and compliance with UK accounting standards
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to strengthen our financial position
• Partner with senior management on investment decisions, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives
• Maintain key relationships with auditors, lenders, and regulatory authorities

What We're Looking For

• Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) or proven senior finance leadership experience
• Substantial experience as Head of Finance or similar senior role in a growth-focused business
• Deep knowledge of UK financial reporting, GAAP, and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated excellence in team leadership, talent development, and organisational culture
• Strategic capability—translating financial data into insights that drive business decisions
• Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across all organisational levels
