Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Pixlr Group is seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Bandar Sunway, Selangor, Malaysia on a full-time basis. We're looking for an experienced QA professional to lead quality assurance initiatives and drive testing excellence across our product suite.

About the Role

As Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Pixlr Group, you'll take ownership of quality standards and play a key role in ensuring our software meets the highest performance and reliability benchmarks. This position offers the opportunity to shape QA strategy, mentor junior team members, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. You'll lead testing efforts across web and mobile platforms, identify critical bugs before release, and establish best practices that elevate our entire quality engineering function.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and product releases
• Lead manual and automated testing efforts, including regression testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts using industry-standard tools
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to understand requirements and identify potential quality risks
• Document and report defects clearly, prioritise issues, and track resolution through to release
• Mentor and support junior QA team members and contribute to quality culture across the organisation
• Conduct root cause analysis on recurring issues and recommend process improvements
• Monitor and report on quality metrics, test coverage, and release readiness

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software quality assurance experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead QA role
• Proven expertise in test automation using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, lifecycle processes, and quality assurance best practices
• Experience testing web and mobile applications across multiple browsers and devices
• Familiarity with agile and scrum development environments
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with test management tools, bug tracking systems, and CI/CD pipelines
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
