Assistant Manager, DevOps

Join Pixlr Group as an Assistant Manager, DevOps, based in our Bandar Sunway, Selangor office. We're seeking an experienced DevOps professional to lead infrastructure initiatives, manage deployment pipelines, and mentor our technical teams as we scale our operations across the region.

About the Role

This is a full-time position where you'll oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure and continuous deployment systems. You'll bridge operations and development, ensuring our systems remain robust, scalable, and secure. Your leadership will drive technical excellence whilst supporting career development for junior team members. This role offers the opportunity to shape how we build and deploy applications, working with modern DevOps practices and tools in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure, containerisation strategies, and infrastructure-as-code solutions
• Lead the development and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable deployments
• Oversee system monitoring, logging, and alerting to maintain service reliability and performance
• Manage security implementations, including access controls, vulnerability assessments, and compliance protocols
• Mentor and support junior DevOps engineers, fostering skill development and best practices
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement improvements
• Document infrastructure architecture and maintain runbooks for operational consistency
• Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong proficiency in containerisation technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Solid understanding of CI/CD tools and practices
• Knowledge of Linux system administration and networking fundamentals
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior staff
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in cloud platforms or DevOps practices are advantageous
