Business Analyst

Phoenix Software is looking for a Business Analyst to join our team in Pocklington, England. This is a full-time position based on-site where you'll translate business needs into clear requirements that drive our product and service development.

Role Overview

As Business Analyst at Phoenix Software, you'll sit at the intersection of business strategy and technical delivery. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand challenges, gather requirements, and define solutions that create real business impact. Your analysis and recommendations will shape how we build and improve our offerings.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to identify business needs and opportunities
• Document functional requirements and user stories in clear, actionable formats
• Analyse current processes and systems to identify improvement areas
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives
• Track project requirements through development and testing phases
• Produce business cases, process maps, and impact assessments
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership

Who We're Looking For

• Experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements
• Strong communication skills—able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and vice versa
• Proficiency with requirements management tools, data analysis, or process modelling techniques
• Comfortable working with stakeholders at all organisational levels
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams
• Ability to think strategically while remaining grounded in practical delivery
• Experience in relevant sectors such as software, finance, or operations is valuable
