Social Worker Upington

MHR is recruiting a Social Worker for Upington, a 6-month full-time contract commencing as soon as possible. This on-site position in the Northern Cape focuses on community-based social support and case management work.

What This Role Involves

As a Social Worker at MHR, you'll deliver counselling and case management services to clients in the Upington area. Your work centres on direct client engagement, pathway facilitation, and connection with local support networks. The contract operates on an approximate 5-hour monthly basis, offering focused professional involvement in community practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide counselling and client support services
• Manage and develop your own caseload of service users
• Make referrals to external service providers and resources
• Produce written reports and case documentation
• Establish and maintain networks with community organisations
• Conduct needs assessments and develop intervention strategies
• Complete administrative and compliance-related tasks
