DP World seeks an experienced Director of Warehouse to lead operations at our Johannesburg facility in Gauteng. In this full-time role, you will spearhead the Centre of Logistics Distribution Centre (CLDC) strategy and execution, driving operational excellence, client satisfaction, and regulatory compliance across the warehouse operation.
About This Position
This Director role requires strategic vision combined with hands-on warehouse leadership. You'll oversee the CLDC implementation and shape the operating model that defines how we serve clients in Johannesburg and across Gauteng. Your mandate is to build a high-performance culture that balances efficiency, safety, and service quality whilst meeting all legislative and regulatory requirements. This is an opportunity to influence warehouse operations at scale within DP World's South African logistics network.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and align CLDC strategy and execution to meet organisational objectives
- Develop and implement functional and operational frameworks that drive warehouse performance
- Build and sustain a high-performance culture that prioritises client satisfaction and risk management
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements applicable to warehouse operations in Johannesburg
- Oversee budget management, resource allocation, and operational planning
- Lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor key performance indicators and adjust operations to meet targets
