Au Pair | Kyalami

Au Pair Extraordinaire seeks a caring and reliable Au Pair for full-time afterschool childcare of a 4-year-old girl in Kyalami, Tembisa, Ekurhuleni. This role offers the opportunity to support a young child's wellbeing and development within a family environment.

Position Summary

This Au Pair position focuses on providing reliable, nurturing afterschool care and school holiday supervision for a young child in the Kyalami area. You'll collect the child from school each afternoon and create a safe, engaging environment during supervised childcare hours. The role requires punctuality, genuine care for children, and consistent communication with the family about the child's daily activities and wellbeing.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Collect the child from school at designated times, Monday–Friday, 16:00–18:00
• Provide supervised childcare during afternoon hours and school holiday periods (hours remain the same or slightly flexible during holidays)
• Support morning school drop-offs when required with advance notice (compensated)
• Create a safe, stimulating and supportive environment for the child's afternoon care
• Maintain clear, regular communication with the family regarding the child's daily wellbeing and activities
• Uphold appropriate duty of care standards and child safety protocols at all times

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in childcare, nannying, or family-based support roles
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with young children and supporting their development
• Excellent punctuality and reliability, especially for school collection and drop-off duties
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and families
• Flexibility to accommodate school holiday schedules and occasional additional hours as needed
• Patience, warmth, and a sincere commitment to child safety and wellbeing
