About This Opportunity
We are representing a well-funded manufacturing technology company in Munich that is building platform infrastructure for industrial data systems. Our client is a small, fast-moving team backed by leading venture investors, and they need a Platform Engineer to own their cloud infrastructure end-to-end.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate continuous integration and deployment pipelines
- Manage and scale Kubernetes-based cloud infrastructure
- Design and maintain high-availability systems and PostgreSQL databases
- Implement infrastructure as code with a focus on maintainability
- Configure networking, security, and observability tooling
- Develop reliable storage and backup systems
- Enhance developer experience through automation
- Work directly with engineering leadership and end users
What We're Looking For
Required skills:
- Proven experience building reliable continuous delivery systems
- Strong background operating scalable Kubernetes environments
- Proficiency writing maintainable infrastructure as code
- Deep understanding of networking, security, and observability
- Experience designing and operating reliable storage systems
- Passion for improving developer experience and automation
Nice to have:
- Helm, Terraform, or OpenTofu
- AWS and GitHub Actions
- PostgreSQL, graph databases, or S3
- Backups, replication, and disaster recovery
- Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry
- On-premise or hybrid-cloud deployment experience
Location: Munich (relocation support available, including corporate housing offers)
