About This Role
We are representing a confidential entertainment technology client in Berlin who is seeking a Junior Product Manager to join their MarTech team. This role sits at the intersection of marketing automation and data-driven campaign management, supporting internal tools that enable sophisticated digital marketing workflows.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in unstructured environments, can create clarity from ambiguity, and wants hands-on experience building product capabilities that directly impact business outcomes. You'll work closely with senior product leadership, engineering teams, and company founders in a culture that values autonomy and rapid iteration.
Responsibilities
- Drive weekly progress toward quarterly product objectives and key results
- Perform hands-on testing of new releases, verify expected behaviour, document issues, and coordinate resolution timelines
- Monitor product metrics and system health indicators, proactively flagging anomalies and performance concerns
- Use internal automation tools to understand real user workflows and pain points
- Act as first responder when issues surface, coordinating cross-functional resolution efforts
- Take ownership of discrete product areas as you demonstrate capability and impact
- Create development-ready project documentation that provides clarity without unnecessary overhead
- Explore datasets using BI tools to inform product decisions and validate hypotheses
What We're Looking For
Must-Have Skills:
- Comfort working with ambiguous problems and incomplete information, with ability to create structure independently
- Strong execution discipline: you follow up, unblock obstacles, prioritise effectively, and ensure work ships on schedule
- Ability to ask incisive questions that uncover core user pain points and inform solution strategy
- Proficiency organising work using lightweight tools (Docs, Sheets) rather than heavy PM frameworks or workflow systems
- Clear, concise writing skills for creating technical documentation without AI-generated filler content
- Understanding of MarTech fundamentals including campaign workflows, tracking implementations, automation architecture, and third-party integrations
- Data literacy: comfortable exploring datasets, using BI tools, and drawing actionable conclusions
- Technical aptitude: ability to read logs, participate in debugging, understand API concepts, and support automation troubleshooting
- Demonstrated shipping experience: dashboard, internal tool, workflow automation, script, or similar project you've delivered
- Fluency in English; German language skills are advantageous given the Berlin location
What You Won't Be Doing:
- Administrative work like Jira management or ticket shuffling—the team operates with minimal process overhead
- Attending meetings for ceremony or process theatre
- Waiting passively for assignments—you'll proactively identify what needs attention next
