Senior Consultant Energy Markets & Economics (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential renewable energy consultancy seeking a Senior Consultant to join their Energy Markets & Economics team. In this role, you will:

• Prepare market analyses, economic assessments, and expert reports for solar, battery storage, and hybrid energy projects
• Analyze electricity markets, market mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks across the European energy sector
• Evaluate business models, route-to-market strategies, and flexibility solutions for energy storage applications
• Conduct cash flow modeling, sensitivity analyses, and scenario planning to support investment decisions
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to clients, investors, and project partners
• Develop new consulting products and services in the energy markets domain
• Collaborate in an international environment with sales and business development colleagues

What We're Looking For

Our talent team is seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• University degree in Energy Economics, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a comparable field
• Several years of professional experience in the energy sector, market analysis, management consulting, or project development
• In-depth knowledge of European electricity markets, energy market dynamics, and regulatory requirements
• Proven experience developing financial models, economic assessments, and data-driven decision frameworks
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure complex topics and communicate effectively to diverse audiences
• High degree of initiative, accountability, customer orientation, and entrepreneurial mindset
• Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
