Member of Technical Staff (SWE/Product)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential AI technology organization in London that is building evaluation infrastructure for regulated industries. As a Member of Technical Staff, you will own and build the core platform that powers expert data workflows at scale.

Your responsibilities include:

• Design and build annotation tooling, workflow systems, and quality control pipelines end to end
• Create expert task creation flows, assignment interfaces, and review systems that support domain specialists
• Develop data pipelines that transform expert outputs into structured training datasets
• Integrate LLM-powered tooling directly into the platform, including AI-assisted annotation and automated checking
• Convert manual, bespoke processes into reliable, scalable software by working directly with technical founders and domain operators
• Make product and engineering decisions in fast-moving, ambiguous situations—scoping, prioritizing, and shipping without waiting for complete specifications
• Help establish engineering standards, tooling choices, and product direction as the team grows

What We're Looking For

You must be comfortable with:

• Identifying what needs building, making decisions independently, and shipping before the full picture is clear
• Moving across product engineering, infrastructure, data systems, and AI tooling—sometimes all in the same week
• Owning problems end to end, from initial conversations through to production deployment
• Using LLMs and coding agents as part of your daily workflow, with excitement to push AI-integrated development further
• Cutting scope rather than quality—speed and excellence are not trade-offs

Valued experience includes:

• Building internal tools, annotation platforms, workflow software, or operations-heavy products
• Modern product stacks such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, FastAPI, or similar technologies
• AI products, LLM tooling, or evaluation workflows
• Early-stage or founding engineer roles at startups
• Domain knowledge in finance, healthcare, or legal sectors
