Werkstudent Video Editor / Cutter Social Media (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential sports brand based in Münster, and our talent team is seeking a working student (Werkstudent) Video Editor to join their content and social media operations.

In this role, you will:

• Edit organic content for social platforms, transforming raw footage from athletes, product shoots, and user-generated content into Reels, Shorts, and TikToks
• Create paid ad creatives with varied hooks, lengths, aspect ratios, and text overlays; adapt videos for e-commerce use
• Collaborate closely with social media, content, and marketing teams to implement feedback quickly and accurately
• Scout trending sounds, editing styles, and formats, bringing relevant ideas to the team
• Support on-location shoots by filming Reels, ads, and behind-the-scenes clips using smartphones or cameras
• Organize and archive footage systematically so the team can access materials efficiently

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a candidate who:

• Is enrolled at a university or higher education institution with an expected graduation in 2027
• Has a long-term perspective and interest in transitioning to full-time employment after completing their studies
• Demonstrates strong enthusiasm for sports, ideally calisthenics or strength training, with the ability to recognize proper form and showcase athletic movement effectively
• Has initial editing experience through personal channels, university projects, or freelance work
• Works confidently with CapCut or similar editing software
• Understands short-form content mechanics: strong hooks, dynamic pacing, and performance indicators
• Maintains reliability and structure, meeting deadlines and agreements even under time pressure
• Speaks German fluently and English proficiently for captions and text overlays
• Embraces feedback and continuous improvement in editing skills

Nice-to-have: Experience filming with professional cameras, editing YouTube long-form content, or working with After Effects, motion design, Photoshop, Canva, or Asana.
