About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential engineering software company seeking an Account Executive to join their team in Munich, Germany. This is a full-time, hybrid role focused on enterprise sales within the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
Our client is building advanced AI-powered solutions that help engineering teams accelerate product development cycles and improve outcomes. You'll be working with elite organizations in automotive, aerospace, high-tech electronics, and advanced manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute territory and account strategies for engineering-driven enterprise companies
- Generate new opportunities through targeted prospecting, executive outreach, events, and partner channels
- Own the complete enterprise sales cycle from discovery and qualification through negotiation and close
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across engineering, IT, procurement, and executive leadership
- Create compelling business cases demonstrating measurable value in development efficiency and product performance
- Lead commercial proposals, negotiations, and procurement processes
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including solution engineering, product, and leadership around strategic opportunities
- Maintain healthy pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and disciplined opportunity tracking
- Represent the company at customer meetings, executive briefings, and industry events
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of successful enterprise software sales experience
- Deep understanding of how engineering software creates value in product development for discrete manufacturing industries (automotive, aerospace, high-tech electronics)
- Knowledge of CAE, CAD, PLM, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure is a significant advantage
- Experience with AI technologies is particularly relevant
- Proven ability to sell business transformation and measurable value to senior executives
- Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Demonstrated track record of closing large software agreements and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Strong new-business development capabilities
- Excellent account planning, qualification, negotiation, and forecasting skills
- Professional fluency in German and English
- Willingness to travel regularly within Germany and occasionally internationally
- Comfort working in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
