Senior UX/UI Designer (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital agency in Berlin that is expanding its design team. This is a senior-level UX/UI Designer role where you'll work on complex applications, lead client workshops, and contribute to sophisticated design systems. Our client values collaborative work, strong craft, and clear feedback culture within a small, experienced design team.

This position offers part-time flexibility (32 hours/week) with the option to work full-time (up to 40 hours). The working model includes three fixed office days (Monday–Wednesday) and two remote days (Thursday–Friday). Travel is minimal—approximately 2–3 times per year within Germany.

Responsibilities

• Lead UX/UI projects from requirements gathering through to development handoff, serving as the primary designer responsible for outcomes
• Advise clients on design strategy and defend design decisions through clear presentation and consultation
• Plan and facilitate workshops with clients and internal teams to align on project goals and solutions
• Conduct UX research including planning, executing, and analyzing user interviews and usability tests
• Design and maintain complex design systems (Design Ops) for large-scale applications, ensuring consistency and scalability
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity screens using Figma
• Provide effort estimates for proposals and coordinate closely with project management and development teams
• Support the integration of AI tools into design processes
• Optionally take functional ownership of specific topics or areas as the role evolves

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer in an agency environment, working within interdisciplinary teams alongside project managers and developers
• Strong consultation skills with confidence in client communication and workshop facilitation
• Demonstrated experience with complex UX work on large applications, including building, maintaining, and evolving design systems
• Advanced proficiency in Figma
• German language skills at C1 level or higher
• English proficiency at B2 level or above

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge of iOS and Android design guidelines
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
