Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential tax advisory firm in Hamburg seeking a technical professional to bridge tax operations and IT systems. This role sits at the center of client service and internal operations:

• Serve as first point of contact for clients on all DATEV platform questions, from permissions management to everyday troubleshooting
• Guide onboarding of new clients: connect them to DATEV systems, configure interfaces with their ERP platforms, and manage technical handover
• Provide internal consulting to accounting and tax advisory colleagues on DATEV-related questions and technical challenges
• Own the firm's DATEV environment organization including permissions, updates, licenses, and documentation
• Contribute ideas for streamlining recurring processes using automation or AI tools where appropriate

What We're Looking For

• Training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellter) with strong IT aptitude, or IT-focused training such as IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or IT systems manager with experience in DATEV environments, ideally within professional services firms
• Extensive knowledge of DATEV Kanzlei-Rechnungswesen, Unternehmen online, or comparable DATEV applications
• Structured, independent working style with ability to manage multiple concurrent requests
• Clear, patient communication skills, even when addressing the same client question repeatedly
• FAIT (Fachassistent IT) certification preferred, or willingness to pursue this development with our client's support
• Fluent German and good English language skills
