Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer (EST or PST)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential Voice AI technology organization seeking a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to join their Applied Engineering team. This role focuses primarily on driving technical pre-sales engagements with prospects, customers, and partners in the rapidly growing speech AI sector.

As the technical bridge between cutting-edge AI speech technology and customer business needs, you'll collaborate closely with sales teams to craft compelling technical solutions, provide technical validation, build proof-of-concepts, and demonstrate platform value to technical decision makers. Your engineering expertise combined with consultative sales skills will be crucial in navigating complex sales cycles.

Location: USA (must be based in Eastern or Pacific Time zones)
Travel: Up to 50% to meet with customers and support sales engagements
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and solution design for enterprise prospects and customers
• Architect and implement custom proof-of-concepts and technical demonstrations addressing specific customer use cases
• Provide expert guidance on API integration, performance optimization, and deployment strategies
• Partner with Account Executives to navigate technical objections and accelerate sales cycles
• Contribute to technical content creation including implementation guides, reference architectures, and best practices
• Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge across the organization
• Represent customer voice to product and engineering teams
• Actively use and experiment with advanced AI tools as part of daily workflow

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or similar customer-facing technical roles
• Strong software engineering background with professional development experience in at least one modern programming language (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar)
• Proven track record of successfully navigating complex technical sales cycles
• Experience building and demonstrating proof-of-concepts or technical solutions to diverse audiences
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfort with rapid change and an AI-first operating model

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with speech recognition, NLP, AI/Voice agents, or related AI technologies
• Experience building customer-facing demos and sample code
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with API-first products and developer tools
• Background in sales methodologies such as Triangle, MEDDIC, or Solution Selling
