BS/MD Admissions Consultant

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential edtech organization in their search for an experienced BS/MD Admissions Consultant. This is a part-time, remote 1099 contract role available to candidates based in the United States or Canada.

We are seeking a physician with prior admissions committee experience who is passionate about mentorship and helping high-achieving students navigate the competitive BS/MD and direct medical program application process.

Responsibilities

• Guide prospective BS/MD and direct medical program applicants through the admissions process, including school selection, application strategy, essays, resumes, recommendations, timelines, and interviews
• Help students strengthen their academic and extracurricular profiles and develop compelling application materials
• Support students in researching and evaluating best-fit BS/MD, pre-med, and undergraduate programs aligned with their goals and interests
• Provide guidance and feedback on personal statements, supplemental essays, and interview preparation while helping students maintain an authentic voice
• Support students with project planning, application timeline management, and progress tracking through internal organizational tools
• Stay up to date on BS/MD, direct medical, pre-med, and undergraduate admissions trends to provide timely and strategic guidance

What We're Looking For

• MD or DO degree required
• Prior admissions committee experience at the undergraduate or medical school level
• Experience mentoring high school students, particularly in academic advising or college application support
• Familiarity with BS/MD, direct medical, and pre-med admissions processes, including school selection, application strategy, and interview preparation
• Proven success guiding students through competitive undergraduate admissions
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple students and timelines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
