Senior Product Manager – User Platform

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential client in the music streaming sector, seeking a Senior Product Manager - User Platform to join their London-based team. This role sits at the intersection of consumer experience and technical infrastructure, focusing on how users authenticate, maintain sessions, and connect devices across a global platform.

You'll own the product strategy for session management and access capabilities that serve millions of users daily. This means defining how people stay securely connected across mobile apps, web, connected devices, and third-party integrations—balancing seamless experience with security, privacy, and user control.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for session management across multiple client types, device categories, and partner integrations
• Use research, analytics, and feedback from users and internal developers to identify friction points and prioritize high-impact improvements
• Improve how sessions are established, maintained, and terminated while balancing reliable access with account security and privacy requirements
• Shape device connection flows, session handoff experiences, and partner authorization journeys, ensuring clear consent when third-party applications request access
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build reusable session and access capabilities through APIs, client components, and comprehensive integration documentation
• Work cross-functionally with client platform, device, security, and partnership teams to align priorities and drive adoption of access improvements
• Define success metrics for access quality, user friction reduction, developer experience, and capability adoption
• Make strategic trade-offs between immediate UX improvements, long-term technical investment, security hardening, and privacy protection

What We're Looking For

• Several years of product management experience with demonstrable impact on user or developer outcomes
• Background in consumer products, identity and access management, connected devices, developer platforms, or partner integration ecosystems
• Technical fluency in session management, authorization protocols, API design, client-side behavior, or consent frameworks
• Strong product judgment and user experience intuition, with experience collaborating closely with design, research, and engineering
• Ability to reason through technical architecture decisions with engineers and communicate complex trade-offs clearly to diverse stakeholders
• Data-driven approach to testing hypotheses, measuring impact, and making sound decisions under uncertainty
• Experience leading cross-team initiatives and building productive relationships across technical and business functions
• Skill in transforming ambiguous problems into clear strategies, making difficult prioritization calls, and driving work through to delivery
