Legal Engineer Manager, Munich

We are representing a confidential legal technology organization that is transforming how professional services leverage AI-driven solutions. Our client is scaling rapidly across EMEA and seeks a Legal Engineer Manager to lead their Munich-based team. This is a leadership role at the intersection of legal expertise, client engagement, and AI platform adoption.

In this position, you will manage a team of Legal Engineers who work alongside commercial teams to demonstrate product value to law firms and in-house legal departments. Your team bridges the gap between legal workflows and technology solutions, ensuring prospective clients understand how AI can enhance their day-to-day practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Legal Engineers in Munich, setting clear performance expectations and building a high-performing culture
• Ensure quality and consistency across all pre-sales activities, including discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and deal support
• Partner with commercial leadership to prioritize pipeline opportunities and develop strategies for complex, high-value deals
• Engage directly with lawyers at prospective client organizations to understand workflow challenges and demonstrate solutions
• Collaborate with product and marketing teams to translate field insights into positioning, roadmap input, and go-to-market strategy
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations to various law firm practice groups and in-house legal teams, validating use cases and showcasing relevant platform capabilities
• Serve as the voice of the customer, synthesizing legal-focused feedback for internal teams and refining sales approaches
• Travel as needed to client sites and company offices

What We're Looking For

• Qualified lawyer with 7+ years post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house legal environment
• Prior people management experience with a demonstrated ability to develop talent and drive team performance
• Strong understanding of legal technology and AI tools, with the ability to quickly master and demonstrate platform functionality
• Commercial acumen and credibility when engaging with senior stakeholders at law firms and corporate legal departments
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, including experience leading training sessions, workshops, or client-facing demonstrations
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset
• Fluency in English; German language skills are advantageous
• Authorization to work in Germany
