Senior Technical Product Manager – Carbon and Environmental Models (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded AgriTech organization working at the intersection of climate science, agriculture, and technology. Our client partners with major food companies to support regenerative farming practices across Europe, helping restore soil health and reduce supply chain emissions at scale.

They are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead the development of carbon and environmental modeling capabilities. This is a high-impact role for someone who can bridge scientific rigor with product execution, owning the roadmap for soil carbon, biodiversity, and agronomic models that drive real-world climate outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team of soil scientists and software engineers to develop and implement soil organic carbon models as core platform infrastructure
• Own and drive the product roadmap for carbon, biodiversity, and broader soil science models, expanding capabilities from carbon into crop insights and farm-level economic models
• Translate complex scientific models into clear product requirements and features aligned with business goals
• Ensure compliance with key industry standards including VERRA VM0042, GHG Protocol, SustainCERT, SAI RTF, and ISOMETRIC
• Improve model accuracy and scalability while expanding to cover new practices, geographies, and environmental metrics
• Partner across functions—including MRV, farmer success, and other product teams—to ensure models meet regulatory requirements and integrate seamlessly into the platform
• Drive execution from concept to production, managing development cycles and prioritizing based on impact, feasibility, and regulatory constraints
• Maintain scientific credibility and integrity through collaboration with internal experts and external stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• 3-6 years of product management experience, ideally in data-intensive, scientific, or technical products
• Proven track record of shipping products end-to-end and running development cycles effectively
• Strong ability to understand complex models at a high level, including their assumptions, limitations, and product implications
• Degree in a quantitative or analytical field such as physics, engineering, environmental science, mathematics, or similar is strongly preferred
• Strategic thinking: ability to shape product strategy from short-term execution to long-term vision
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics for non-technical audiences
• Strong prioritization and problem-solving capabilities, able to operate effectively in fast-changing environments with evolving constraints
• High attention to detail and rigor when working with data, models, and assumptions
• Quick learner able to reason about new technical domains
• English required; German is a plus but not required
• Based in or able to work regularly from Berlin, Germany; hybrid/flexible work model within the EU
