Security Lead – m/f/d

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization that is transforming how enterprises leverage AI technology securely at scale. Our client serves over 10,000 companies across Europe, from high-growth startups to major enterprises. We're searching for a hands-on Security Lead to join their Berlin-based team and own the security posture across product, infrastructure, and internal systems.

This is a technical leadership role where you'll work directly with the CTO and engineering teams to identify risks, coordinate penetration testing, triage vulnerabilities, and drive practical security improvements. You'll balance deep technical work with customer-facing security assurance and compliance support.

Responsibilities

Application Security

• Coordinate end-to-end penetration testing—define scope with engineering and external partners, support testing activities, assess findings, and ensure remediation is verified
• Own vulnerability intake and triage through security inbox and responsible disclosure program; assess reported issues and prioritize resolution with engineering
• Review security-sensitive designs and code changes, identifying weaknesses in authentication, authorization, and data isolation

Infrastructure Security

• Assess and improve production infrastructure and internal systems security posture; identify gaps and drive meaningful improvements
• Strengthen network separation, service exposure, privileged access controls, and permission models
• Verify controls work in practice—look beyond configuration to understand real attack scenarios and detection capabilities

Internal Security and Automation

• Own identity and device security including MFA implementation, access policies, device encryption, and patch management
• Automate employee lifecycle processes across Entra ID and internal tools—provisioning, access changes, offboarding, and access reviews
• Build scripts, integrations, and leverage AI tooling to automate security operations and surface critical issues

Customer Assurance and Compliance

• Support customer security assessments and questionnaires with clear, technically credible explanations of controls
• Contribute to ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II programs through effective controls, current evidence, and technical input

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on application and infrastructure security experience in modern SaaS and cloud environments
• Technical depth to investigate vulnerabilities, assess practical impact, and work with engineers on remediation
• Proven experience managing penetration tests and vulnerability disclosure programs from report to verified fix
• Strong capabilities with identity providers, MFA, access policies, device management, and endpoint security
• Automation mindset—you build workflows and integrations to reduce manual security operations
• Clear communication skills to explain technical risks to engineers, colleagues, and customers
• Pragmatic approach to risk reduction, choosing controls teams can realistically implement and maintain
• Experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and customer security assessments is valuable; technical security should be your core strength
• German language skills are a plus but not required
• Willingness to work in-person from the Berlin office (Greifswalder Strasse area)

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: €90,000 – €140,000 base salary. The role includes equity compensation. Final level and salary will be determined based on your experience and the scope of work you'll own.
