Operations Manager (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential climate-tech organization based in Berlin that is building sustainable heating solutions at scale. Our talent team is seeking an Operations Manager to join their growing operations function and take ownership of project execution from contract signature through completion.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, manages multiple priorities simultaneously, and drives projects forward with urgency and precision. You'll be the operational engine ensuring projects move efficiently through every stage while maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage projects from contract signature to completion with a focus on continuously reducing cycle time
• Proactively intervene when KPIs are exceeded or risks to timeline, profitability, or customer satisfaction emerge
• Ensure all projects are complete, ready for installation, and accurately reflected in system records with zero projects falling through the cracks
• Monitor completeness of project documentation, identify missing elements early, and ensure timely delivery
• Maintain project-level profitability by identifying bottlenecks and wait times before they impact results
• Work closely with Customer Support and own proactive, project-specific communication at defined touchpoints
• Create transparent, current project status visibility and provide clarity on blockers and action items
• Minimize escalations through clear prioritization and structured follow-up processes
• Drive high customer satisfaction as a direct outcome of clean, reliable project execution

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Completed professional training or degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, trades, energy, business) or comparable hands-on experience in project or operations environments
• Experience in project management, operations, or technical environments (e.g., construction, trades, energy sector)
• Fluent German language skills, written and spoken (C2 level)
• Strong command of CRM systems and digital tools
• Experience with heat pumps, solar installations, or renewable energy is a plus

Essential competencies:

• Ownership: When a project stalls, you've already identified the problem and taken action. You drive projects internally with persistence and address dependencies clearly with other teams
• Expert Operator: You manage 15+ projects weekly simultaneously and know the status, next steps, and potential risks for each one. Process and prioritization keep you effective at high volume
• Data-Driven Optimizer: You review cycle time, profitability, scheduling metrics, and project progress daily, spotting patterns before they become problems
• Commercially Minded: You understand that delays impact profitability directly, not just customer experience, and steer proactively to protect margins
• Proactive Problem Solver: Missing documents, blocked installation dates, unreachable customers—you find solutions and keep projects moving forward
