Teamlead Procurement (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential mobility services organization in their search for a Teamlead Procurement (m/w/d) based in Frankfurt. Our client is experiencing rapid growth across European operations and needs a strategic procurement leader to build robust processes, lead a talented team, and spearhead the implementation of a new ERP system (SAP).

This is not a maintenance role—this is a build-and-scale opportunity. You'll professionalize procurement operations, establish an internal spare parts supply chain to support field stations, and ensure purchasing processes are properly configured in the new ERP from day one.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and coach the procurement team, fostering autonomous working practices and professional growth
• Serve as the primary procurement representative in the ongoing SAP implementation project—from requirements gathering through process design (Purchase-to-Pay), testing, data migration, and go-live
• Build and optimize the internal spare parts supply chain for field stations, including assortment planning, supplier management, inventory control, minimum stock levels, distribution logic, and support for maintenance and repair teams
• Define and standardize procurement processes, policies, and approval workflows, implementing them in the new system
• Manage supplier selection, evaluation, development, contract management, and terms negotiation
• Conduct negotiations for strategically important categories and deliver measurable cost savings
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Fleet, Operations, Legal, and IT teams, representing procurement perspectives in cross-functional projects
• Drive adoption of AI and automation in procurement (e.g., n8n workflows, AI-assisted analysis) to increase efficiency and reduce routine workload
• Establish procurement KPIs and manage the function data-driven (savings realization, supplier reliability, process cycle times)

What We're Looking For

• Multiple years of professional experience in strategic or operational procurement, with proven team leadership experience
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Practical experience with SAP (e.g., MM/Ariba) OR demonstrable experience implementing an ERP system—ideally both
• Deep understanding of end-to-end procurement processes (Purchase-to-Pay) and the ability to standardize and digitalize them
• Experience building or operating a supply chain or spare parts/materials provisioning system (assortment, warehousing, inventory control, distribution) is a significant advantage
• Strong negotiation skills, excellent supplier relationship management, and commercial cost awareness
• Structured, analytical working approach with confidence handling data and KPIs
• Hands-on mentality with enthusiasm for actively building in a fast-growth environment rather than simply administering
• High affinity for AI and automation, with motivation to make procurement processes more efficient using modern tools (e.g., n8n, AI assistants)
