About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing e-commerce company in Berlin that specializes in specialty food retail. Our client combines online commerce with content creation, community engagement, and social selling across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and their own digital storefront. They're looking for a Marketing Manager to take genuine ownership of campaigns, product launches, and social commerce initiatives as they scale.

This is a hands-on role where you'll coordinate marketing projects from concept through execution, working directly with the founders and an established content team. You'll have the opportunity to shape how marketing works at a company that values experimentation, fast iteration, and solution-oriented thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate marketing campaigns, promotions, product launches, and livestream events from initial concept through execution and post-campaign analysis
  • Develop campaign plans including timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables; coordinate content and communication across multiple channels
  • Manage TikTok Shop campaigns and promotions, including Seller Center management, livestream activations, and coordination with platform partners
  • Work with the team to develop campaigns and content focused on specialty food products, emerging trends, and cultural storytelling
  • Determine product and topic focus, communication strategies, content formats, and cross-channel campaign integration
  • Coordinate marketing projects across teams, tracking priorities and deadlines to ensure forward momentum
  • Identify problems and dependencies early; propose and implement solutions rather than simply escalating issues
  • Review campaign results and translate learnings into improved future initiatives
  • Depending on experience, may coordinate team responsibilities, improve workflows, support team members, and help shape marketing priorities with leadership

What We're Looking For

Our client is open to candidates with varied backgrounds but needs someone who has gained meaningful hands-on marketing experience and is ready for genuine ownership.

Required qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in marketing, e-commerce, social media, content, or campaign management
  • Fluent German skills (C1 or native level) – you'll be developing marketing for a predominantly German-speaking audience
  • Strong working proficiency in English
  • Highly organized, reliable, and proactive with strong follow-through
  • Ability to turn ideas into structured plans and executable projects
  • Clear communicator who takes responsibility for outcomes
  • Solution-oriented mindset – you think beyond identifying problems to proposing concrete next steps
  • Comfortable making informed decisions and experimenting even when not every answer is obvious
  • Strong interest in e-commerce, social media, and social commerce
  • Comfortable working with data, KPIs, and budgets
  • Thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys hands-on work

Valued experience (not required):

  • E-commerce platform management
  • TikTok and TikTok Shop
  • Social media campaign management
  • CRM and email marketing
  • Performance marketing
  • Chinese language skills

The client values people who think in terms of "Here is the problem, here are the options, here is what I recommend we try next." You should be willing to experiment, learn from results, and iterate quickly rather than waiting for perfect answers.

Strong candidates will be submitted to our client for consideration. Throughout the interview process, we'll coordinate scheduling and provide guidance. Please do not attempt to contact the client directly, as all communication should flow through our recruiting team to ensure a smooth process for everyone involved.

Along with your CV, please include a short introduction explaining why this role interests you, and answer this question: Tell us about a marketing campaign, project, or experiment you took ownership of.
