Operations Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential PropTech organization in Berlin that is building infrastructure for intelligent energy management in buildings. Our talent team is supporting them in their search for an Operations Manager who will take ownership of operational workflows and drive continuous improvement across customer projects.

This is an early-stage opportunity with significant responsibility from day one. You'll work closely with leadership to build and scale operations, managing the full project lifecycle from onboarding through successful delivery. This role is explicitly not administrative—you will own your domains and drive execution.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of customer accounts and properties from onboarding through successful implementation
• Coordinate property managers, owners, installers, tenants, and partners to ensure all stakeholders have the right information at the right time
• Maintain complete project visibility: what's completed, what's pending, who's waiting on whom, and what needs to happen next
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and partners with clear, fast, and reliable communication
• Identify manual and repetitive processes and develop better systems and workflows
• Automate operational workflows using no-code and low-code tools such as n8n or AI-assisted development
• Build internal structures for project tracking, documentation, and reporting while ensuring adoption across the team
• Analyze operational metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement concrete improvements
• Develop operations strategy alongside leadership and take on expanding operational areas as you grow
• Drive independent projects and initiatives from concept through execution, measuring actual impact

What We're Looking For

• Completed or current Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, industrial engineering, real estate management, or comparable field—or equivalent practical experience
• Ideally some experience in operations, project management, consulting, startups, real estate, or similar environment (a plus, not required)
• Self-starter who takes ownership and doesn't wait to be told what to do next
• Structured and reliable work style with ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams
• Excellent communication skills—able to communicate clearly and credibly with property managers, installers, customers, and partners while aligning different interests
• Pragmatic problem-solver who finds solutions rather than escalating issues
• Strong analytical and conceptual abilities with solid understanding of data and processes
• Genuine interest in building systems from scratch and critically examining existing workflows
• Technical affinity and interest in AI, SaaS, IoT, or automation (a plus)
• Comfortable in a fast-paced early-stage startup environment with ambiguity and shifting priorities
• Native-level German proficiency (non-negotiable) and fluent English
