Founding GTM Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI safety company in London that is seeking a Founding GTM Engineer to build and own their go-to-market infrastructure from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-funded, high-growth startup at an inflection point—early enough for equity to be meaningful, yet proven enough to have a multi-million dollar run rate and a growing customer base.

Our client processes over 100M+ API calls monthly and has secured significant venture backing from leading funds and operators. They are building the category-defining platform in their space, and they need someone who can automate away low-value commercial work and create systems that generate qualified pipeline at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end GTM infrastructure that powers how the company finds, acquires, and retains customers (both outbound and inbound)
• Own the CRM: ensure data is clean, structured, and reliable; design the GTM data model for accounts, contacts, and opportunities
• Automate repetitive commercial processes so the sales team can focus on closing deals
• Build internal tools, API integrations, and custom automation logic across the stack
• Design and deploy AI agents across the GTM motion (account research, pre-call intelligence, personalised outreach, scoring, and enrichment)
• Build and manage data pipelines, enrichment workflows, and integrations with modern GTM tooling
• Develop programmatic SEO and AEO strategies to drive top-of-funnel growth
• Ship quickly, measure impact, and iterate based on data

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in GTM engineering, technical RevOps, or a growth role where you built automations and pipelines
• Hands-on experience designing and scaling systems in a high-growth environment
• Proficiency with modern GTM tools (e.g., Claude Code, Clay, Apollo, Instantly, n8n or similar)—you've built multi-step enrichment and sequencing workflows, not just configured dashboards
• Comfortable with Python or SQL for working with data, calling APIs, and building lightweight scoring or enrichment logic
• Top-of-funnel expertise: you know how to build systems that generate qualified pipeline at scale, from ICP definition through to booked meetings
• Experience in programmatic SEO and AEO
• Analytical and experimental mindset with a proven ability to design tests, measure impact, and iterate quickly
• Proven experience deploying AI (automations, agents, workflows) in a commercial context

Success in the first 6 months: Identify the highest-converting early segments, build a functioning outbound and follow-up engine, create clear messaging for one or two strong wedges, generate a meaningful pipeline of qualified conversations, and help convert early pilots or customers. Just as importantly, the company should understand its GTM motion far better because of your work.
