Country Manager – Software Unternehmen – Private Equity (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential private equity-backed software organization in the healthcare sector. This is a succession-focused Country Manager role designed to evolve into a CEO position, leading the company through professionalization, growth, and ultimately to exit within approximately 18 months.

Following a recent investment, the organization is entering a critical growth phase. The business is highly profitable with revenues under €3 million and requires strategic leadership to scale operations, enhance the software platform, and prepare for a successful exit.

The founder and current CEO will work closely with the incoming Country Manager during a transition period of 6 to 9 months, transferring critical knowledge about the business, market dynamics, and key customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assume full P&L responsibility and deliver on growth and profitability targets
• Collaborate with the existing team to improve and evolve the software platform based on customer feedback and changing market requirements
• Drive implementation of AI capabilities, identifying practical use cases that enhance the platform, elevate customer experience, and increase operational efficiency
• Translate customer needs and market insights into clear product priorities and development initiatives
• Lead, motivate, and develop a small, highly specialized team
• Work closely with the private equity partner and board to execute the value creation plan
• Prepare the company for a potential exit

What We're Looking For

• Leadership experience within a B2B software company
• Previous P&L responsibility, ideally as Country Manager, Managing Director, General Manager, CEO, or comparable senior leadership role
• Deep understanding of software products and business models
• Interest in AI and its practical application in software products and business processes
• Customer-focused mindset with experience translating customer feedback into product improvements
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with a hands-on, pragmatic approach
• Fluent German and strong English language skills required
• Excellent communication abilities when engaging with customers, employees, investors, and other stakeholders
• Willingness to travel; key locations include the greater Munich area and Switzerland
