VP Finance (all genders)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential deep-tech aerospace organization based in Munich. This is a rare opportunity to join as VP Finance and build the financial foundation for a capital-intensive hardware scale-up transitioning from development to industrialization. You'll work directly with executive leadership as a strategic partner, driving financial steering, governance, and leading complex financing activities including asset financing, venture debt, and fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Own company-wide financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Establish scalable financial governance, reporting standards, and KPI frameworks to support transition from startup to industrial manufacturing
• Build scalable finance processes, tools, and systems that support rapid organizational growth
• Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Business teams to enable data-driven decision-making
• Structure and execute asset financing solutions for equipment, tooling, and production assets
• Lead structuring and negotiation of venture debt and development credit financing arrangements
• Build and manage relationships with banks, debt providers, and financing partners
• Support equity fundraising processes including financial modeling, investor materials, and due diligence coordination
• Own financial data rooms, investor reporting, and financing-related analysis
• Act as sparring partner for executive leadership on financial strategy, risk management, and capital allocation
• Support building and developing the finance function as the company scales

What We're Looking For

• Around 10 years of experience in Finance, Corporate Finance, Structured Finance, Investment, or similar roles
• Experience in at least one startup, scale-up, or fast-growing dynamic environment is strongly preferred
• Proven experience in capital-intensive industries such as deep tech, aerospace, manufacturing, hardware, energy, or mobility
• Hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: asset financing, venture debt, development/innovation credits, project financing, or equity fundraising support
• Strong financial modeling and scenario planning skills
• Experience negotiating financing structures and term sheets
• Understanding of manufacturing cost structures and CapEx planning
• Experience with public funding landscapes in Germany or the EU is a plus
• Experience in regulated or certification-driven industries is a plus
• Strong ownership mindset with ability to operate strategically and execute operationally
• Ability to work in ambiguous and fast-moving environments
• Strong stakeholder communication across technical and business teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; German or another European language is a plus
