We're seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join a specialized team focused on deployment automation and infrastructure orchestration. You'll work within an air-gapped environment where security, standardization, and operational excellence are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Design and build frameworks for packaging and deploying software solutions on cloud platforms
- Drive development of Kubernetes infrastructure and implement GitOps workflows using tools like FluxCD
- Support cross-functional teams during platform onboarding and integration
- Analyze complex systems, identify improvement opportunities, and make data-driven decisions in ambiguous scenarios
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Ansible and Terraform
- Contribute to modern observability stacks including metrics, logs, and distributed tracing
- Participate in on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability
What We're Looking For
- Deep expertise in Linux/Unix system administration and internals
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly OpenStack, including infrastructure provisioning
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform and Ansible
- Strong experience with Kubernetes containerization and orchestration
- Demonstrated ability building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Practical experience with observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana, and similar technologies
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, and Go for scripting and automation
- Solid understanding of security fundamentals: IAM, secrets management, hardening, and compliance
- Knowledge of distributed systems concepts including CAP theorem, consensus algorithms, and fault tolerance
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with strict documentation discipline
- Strong communication skills in English; German proficiency is advantageous
- Collaborative mindset with ownership mentality and commitment to blameless culture
