Systems Integration Engineer

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential automotive technology organization operating at the intersection of electric vehicles and next-generation software platforms. This Berlin-based Systems Integration Engineer role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge software-defined vehicle architectures, bridging domain teams and driving system-level solutions from prototype through production.

This position requires a minimum of three days per week onsite in Berlin, with occasional travel to partner sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support bring-up of new platforms and software integration from prototype stage through production release
• Drive development, integration, and delivery of new system features, stepping in technically wherever needed to achieve system objectives
• Develop and maintain test automation and fleet monitoring tools to ensure consistent quality of vehicle features
• Collaborate cross-functionally with feature partners and domain teams to improve system design, test coverage, and resolve technical issues
• Perform fleet-level analysis of system performance to inform development and integration priorities
• Serve as the primary technical interface and system advocate across vehicle domain teams
• Conduct issue triage, system development, and escalation management
• Travel as necessary to work with domain counterparts and deepen understanding of vehicle systems and tools

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
• Demonstrated experience developing in Python, Rust, C, C++, or Golang (Python and Rust preferred)
• Experience with systems engineering and analysis
• Background working on complex, cross-functional, distributed embedded systems
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in continuous integration environments
• Knowledge of networked embedded systems including CAN, Ethernet, LIN, DOIP, and ISOTP protocols
• Familiarity with embedded flashing protocols such as UDS and XCP
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostics and common UDS services
• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts
• Experience with TCP/IP systems, IPv4/6, HTTP/Rest, and gRPC
• Background with systems engineering analysis tools including FMEA, DFMEA, and HARA
• Proficiency with industry tools such as Canalyzer, PCAN-Explorer, and Wireshark
